DesBorder: Together for a Cleaner Environment

DesBorder is a 2024 World Design Capitol endorsed community clean-up on August 3, 2024 (9am-12pm) and located at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park in Point Loma, CA.

Join us in tackling our coastal waterways pollution while giving back to the community!

Leading up to August 3rd DesBorder will encourage our youth groups and schools to participate in art-making and educational activities promoting environmental awareness. 

A sculpture in the shape of a whale (want a chance to name the whale?) and created from repurposed materials, will be at the heart of our cleanups and will migrate up and down our San Diego/Tijuana coastlines and waterways throughout the year. Our whale will serve as a reminder of what we are protecting and how DesBorder brings communities together to tackle our waterway pollution. Our whale’s migration will be tracked and the CRV collected will be tracked.

All CRV collected in the whale and at the event will be donated to Cans4Books to provide free and accessible children’s books to San Diego communities.
