DesBorder: Together for a Cleaner Environment

Join us in tackling our coastal waterways pollution while giving back to the community!

DesBorder will kick-off on August 3, 2024 (8am-11am) at Sunset Cliffs Natural Park in Point Loma, CA with a cleanup and whale launch.

The DesBorder program will encourage our youth groups and schools to participate in art-making and educational activities that promote environmental awareness. 

A sculpture in the shape of a whale and created from repurposed materials, will be at the heart of our project and will migrate up and down our San Diego/Tijuana coastlines and waterways to multiple events. The DesBorder whale will reminder us of what we are protecting and the DesBorder whale’s migration and CRV collected will be tracked.

All CRV collected in the whale and at events will be donated to Cans4Books to provide free and accessible children’s books to San Diego communities. Book the whale for your event.
